What I see in this drawing is a child who sees the
world not as it is but as it could be. Her youth and lack of experience is what
led her to perceive a world of screaming and vehement color but the reality of
the world is black and white. The eye is the nucleus of
the drawing and this exemplifies that the things she sees revolves around
colors, each with a different nuance. It is shown how the strokes of the black
crayon are smooth, and this symbolizes the innocence and overfull
hope of the child. The iris of her eye is shaded with all seven colors and her
desire of a better world is displayed in this aspect of the drawing. She is
tired of the black and white colored world and decided to paint it with the
colors that epitomize certain things that will construct her a better life.
Red
is the color of blood therefore it represents life. Blood sustains us and flows
within our veins. Like this, life is what sustains the world. Life is the core
of the world and life is what creates activity in the world. Orange represents
rejuvenated spirits and optimism. This child fantasizes a world filled with
people of positive mindsets and enthusiasm, and this is because she is unaware
of the haunting demons of negativity that doom the hearts of the buoyant. Yellow,
being the lightest and brightest color of the spectrum simply represents a higher
power. It forms an image of a world that is in full control of a leader and a
spiritual guide to be the captain of our sinking boats. The color yellow
occupies the biggest part of the circle and this shows that it is the most
relevant. Green is the color of growth and fertility, which means that each day
we live we have to continue to prosper and improve ourselves in all facets of
life. Blue represents balance and tranquility. It tells us that a great world
cannot be achieved without peace and equanimity among the human race.
Violet
represents the hope that people must encompass to continue the goodness of this
particular world and it is the hope that fuels the people to retain the faith
they have in themselves and in others.
This child has so much yet to see and is
bound for adventures in her life and one day, she will soon realize that this
is simply just a fantasy, and never a possible constructed reality.
